I know there are some ad networks that offer advertising options for websites that want to display ads on mobile screens. Personally I rather try and convert people into subscribers or sell them products (either my own or affiliate products). What's going to be interesting is whether new methods, aimed to help us monetize our sites appear. Currently, (at least as far as I'm aware anyway!), most money making techniques for websites don't really apply to visitors on phones and tablets. For example YouTube videos don't show adverts as they're not flash based, most articles are read in RSS readers or apps which strip out the adverts etc. I think there's quite a market for developing a successful technique, just wish I could think of it myself!
